actually upvotes matter for only round 1 to get into top25 most upvoted ideas from these top 25 , a panel of VCs select top 3 so the final winners are decided by judges not upvotes showcase is to publically post idea and most with idea or mvp stage ideas , participating for visibility and validation or initial set of users and competing for whatever price money they can get as most people posting ideas aren't techies , they built mvp or prototype in lovable

Medial - Startup showcases drawbacks (System fault for top 25 upvote ideas -- > VC) I believe that every idea should be treated equally in the start showcase But this upvote system where top 25 most upvoted ideas will be only reviewed by VC is not
