How Trump Tariff Move Could Hit Indian Exports If Trump actually comes and slaps tariffs on Indian products things could get tricky fast Indian exporters might start feeling the heat straight away stuff like clothes, medicines, auto parts all that might cost more in the US and buyers over there might just cut down or look somewhere else for cheaper options that is bad news for businesses here that count on selling to the US. Smaller companies especially could be in trouble they don’t always have backup plans or deep pockets to handle losses If orders drop, factories might slow down, and jobs could be on the line a big hit to exports might also mess with the rupee and widen our trade gap. India won’t just sit and watch obviously there could be a response maybe tariffs on American goods too that could start a back and forth that does not help anyone It might even mess with tech partnerships or defense stuff between the two countries and yeah investors don’t like this kind of drama so it could shake confidence too. That said India has been working on not putting all its eggs in one basket we have building ties with other regions like Europe, Southeast Asia, and the Gulf so we might take a hit but we won’t be completely stuck. In the end it depends on how both sides handle it If things get tense, sure, it will be a headache for exporters and the economy but India’s not without options we have faced worse and adapted before.
