China facing over 54% and Vietnam's 46% tariffs, Indian Toy manufacturers gain a strong edge. With GOI incentivising Toy manufacturing, interesting stuff could happen in the next 3-5 years

Look at how imports have plummeted while exports are steadily rising. I've been in manufacturing for 20+ years, and this kind of trade reversal is rare. With China getting slammed by 54% tariffs and Vietnam facing 46%, India is positioned to absolutely dominate. My cousin started a toy factory in Gujarat last year and they're already operating at 3x their projected capacity due to European buyers redirecting orders from China. The "Make in India" initiative finally paying off in a sector! This is going to create thousands of jobs in smaller cities where these factories are being built.

Most Indian toy manufacturing happens in small workshops that don't report to official channels. The actual export numbers are probably 30-40% higher! My family runs a small toy business in Chandigarh, and orders from US retailers have exploded since the tariff announcements. We've had to hire 35 new workers just to keep up. This is going to be transformative for India's economy, especially since toy manufacturing employs predominantly women in rural areas. It's not just about trade numbers, it's about distributed economic empowerment.

Why just blame Adani Group? 📛📛 Days ago, there was a big furore over Adani depending on Chinese vendors for the machinery to domestically manufacture solar modules and cells. But, that’s highly misleading. And in fact, it’s highly hypocritical.
