🔺🔺 Scam I Just noticed something disgusting from Flipkart. Ordered something → changed my mind → cancelled within 2 minutes. Item wasn’t packed, not shipped, literally nothing had started. And yet, I get charged a ₹4 “platform fee” — non-refundable. Like… what? What “platform service” did I use? The privilege of changing my mind on a free app? I can understand if an item is already shipped, packed, or has some logistics cost. But this? This is digital pickpocketing. Now imagine millions of people cancelling orders. ₹4 x millions = crores in passive income for Flipkart… for doing nothing. This isn’t about ₹4 — this is about normalizing scummy microcharges for literally breathing on the app. Flipkart, what next? • ₹2 for viewing a product? • ₹5 for adding to cart and removing? • ₹10 for cancelling a return? Shady AF. This isn’t “platform sustainability.” This is corporate greed masked as policy. No warning. No refund. Just quiet theft. Spread it across the social media

Bro That 4 rupee will go to payment gateway probably Razorpay or Rupay. Every tech platform use third party payment gateway and they charge for every transaction. Now imagine flipcart is paying 4 rupee per transaction to Razorpay and 1 cr people cancel their order. Then Flipcart is not gonna pay 4cr to Razorpay from their own pocket.

The company has to pay Payment gateway charges, and if the cancellation fee is zero people can misuse the system.

They will say platform fee is for smoother customer experience, but this is all for their own pocket money. Nothing smoother, no proper support and just bugs. If have bunch of items to order in same name and same address and you have forgotten 1 product and placing the order which you have missed. Now you charged again a platform fee. Think twice before placing an order.
