I'd say if they are your founding team members then: 1) Your company ain't big to have a culture 2) Trust in you as a leader would come with time, new founders haven't proven themselves 3) There's no "mission" jargon feels a fluff 4) Equity in a new company has no perceived value That brings the decision to only if your fundamental business or idea convinced them or not? Do they think it'll get big and why? These are a few decisive areas in my opinion
