The inconsistency must be confusing for users. Imagine explaining to your parents that they need to download 4 different apps from the same company to learn different things.

This is just lazy portfolio management disguised as strategy. They're artificially inflating their "app portfolio" for investor presentations. Same company, same basic concept, different colors and names. It's like having 5 different pizza apps instead of one with category filters.

I think the answers in the screenshot itself, there is a chance that their audience overlaps, but if every app serves the same thing then even if the user downloaded the app, he won't use either one of them enough. So yeah, 5 apps combined have around 60 mil downloads, which they can take to 100 mil without scaling the 50 mil app anymore, will scale another. one goes down due to any reason another app can be published and the traffic will be diverted from their other apps, another thing, even if the content is same, due to different names and keywords they can target different groups of intent user through their ASO. Can be wrong as well, if someone thinks differently would like to know their opinions

These are generally done to: Distribute liabilities. Distribute investment. Distribute revenue. Lower tax burden. Distribute server utilisation, although this is not that difficult even with a single app. some more reasons are there.

I'm assuming they are meant for different audience arivu is for tamil , seekho and bolo for hindi and idk what neruchuko is but I'm assuming it's from another language too so they have audience from different states of India and users don't have to see learning videos in different language and advertisement is also targeted at those states individually

You're absolutely right. Look at YouTube - one app handles everything from kids content to professional tutorials. Good apps have robust categorization and personalization. This multi-app approach feels like 2015 thinking.
