Hey founders, I know failure stings—it’s supposed to. That pit in your stomach, the doubt creeping in, the voice whispering "Maybe I’m not cut out for this"—I’ve been there too. But here’s the truth: failure isn’t a dead end, it’s a detour. Think of it like learning to ride a bike. The first time you fell, it hurt. Maybe you even scraped your knee. But you didn’t quit—you got back on, adjusted your balance, and eventually, you were flying. Take Airbnb as an example. Before they became a $100B company, they were selling cereal (yes, cereal) to keep the lights on after their initial idea flopped. If they had given up then, they wouldn’t have changed travel forever. So if your first (or fifth) attempt didn’t work, that’s okay. You’re not failing—you’re collecting data. Every ‘no,’ every closed door, every setback is just feedback. The only real failure is quitting. So dust yourself off, tweak your approach, and go again. The world needs your grit, your ideas, and your stubborn belief that "this time" might just be the one. Keep going.

It starts with a tweet. OpenAI launches something shiny—maybe an AI-native editor, maybe a study mode. It looks polished. And then come the messages: “Isn’t this what you were building?” “Bro… OpenAI just dropped your startup.” You smile. Half. B

“A Cigarette With Dad” isn’t just a book. It’s a balcony, a conversation, and a feeling you didn’t know you were missing. For every moment we bottled up, and every word left unsaid between a father and son... this book lets it out. It’s not fiction.
