Every founder knows that sinking feeling in their stomach—you're weeks into a new idea, completely obsessed, and then you stumble upon a company that's already doing it, but better and with millions in funding. It’s not just about the wasted time; it’s about the emotional drain. I got tired of that fear. I wanted a way to get a quick, honest, data-driven gut check before falling in love with an idea. That's why I built DoesMyIdeaExist.com. It’s not another keyword search tool. It’s an analysis engine designed to think like a skeptical co-founder. You give it your concept, and in about 30 seconds, it gives you: A "Net Uniqueness Score" to instantly gauge the competitive landscape. A list of your actual closest competitors, not just SEO spam. A strategic summary of the market and your potential place in it. I soft-launched it on Twitter last week, and the response from other builders was honestly overwhelming. So many people said it was the tool they wished they'd had for their last startup. It seems I wasn't the only one with this fear. It's 100% free to use. I built it for us. I hope it saves you the time and heartache it was designed to prevent. Let me know what you think.
