Beyond Asanas (आसन): The True "Yoga" for a Founder is SEPARATION FROM SUFFERING. Happy International Day of Yoga! 🧘♂️ While we often associate Yoga with complex physical postures (asanas), a powerful interpretation from the GEETA offers a deeper meaning for our high-stress lives: "Dukh se viyog hi yog hai." दुख से वियोग ही योग है. (Separation from suffering is itself Yoga.) For founders, creators, and professionals, our "dukh" (suffering/pain) often comes from ATTACHMENT: - Attachment to a specific outcome. - Attachment to a valuation or funding round. - Attachment to praise and fear of criticism. - Attachment to the belief that our startup is our entire identity. Real "Yoga" in the entrepreneurial journey, then, isn't just about a morning routine. It's about a state of mind. It’s the practice of: Detached Action (Nishkama Karma) निष्काम कर्म: Focusing on doing your best work, detached from the fruits of your labor. YOU CONTROL THE EFFORT, NOT THE RESULT. So this Yoga Day, while the physical practice is wonderful for our well-being, let's also reflect on this deeper meaning. How can we practice "viyog" (separation) from the inevitable suffering of the startup rollercoaster and find a more stable, centered state of being? That, perhaps, is the most advanced and valuable Yoga of all. What does "Yoga" mean to you in your professional life, beyond the mat? 👇
