We're Obsessed with "Sam's 10 Tips," But We're Ignoring His Real Secret. 🧠💡 A thought for the Indian startup ecosystem. I see Medial and other platforms flooded with: "Sam Altman said this..." "Naval's 5 rules for..." "Elon's productivity hack..." We worship the output - the tips, the quotes, the success. But we conveniently ignore the FOUNDATION. We want the "hack" without the "hard work." Take a look at the resume of someone like Greg Brockman (Co-Founder & President of OpenAI). It’s not just "10 tips to build an AI company." It's years at Harvard and MIT. 🎓 It's a foundational understanding of mathematics and computer science. It's the grueling experience of being the CTO at Stripe. The hard-hitting truth for new-age founders is this: 🏛️ Education is the Bedrock: World-class education (formal or self-taught with insane discipline) provides the first principles and mental models you can't get from a Twitter thread or Medial viral post. 💪 Deep Skills are the Real Moat: The "labour" of becoming an expert in your field is what gives you the right to have an opinion that matters. It's your real competitive advantage. 🏠 Personal Branding is the Roof, Not the Foundation: Your brand is built on WHAT YOU KNOW and WHAT YOU CAN DO. Without a solid foundation of knowledge and skill, personal branding is just an empty house. Let's stop being obsessed with the highlight reel and start respecting the years of invisible, grueling work that made the success possible. The real secret isn't a "hack." It's the deep, often lonely, work of becoming exceptional at something. What are your thoughts? Are we focusing too much on the "gurus" and not enough on the process/foundation? 🙄

Why are investors backing away? It's not about talent — it's about depth. Founders today are skipping the foundation, chasing trends, and performing for likes instead of building for users. Let’s bring back real, value-driven building. #StartupTruth

The unique aspect of Medial is that it exists at the intersection of LinkedIn and X (Twitter). It's well-positioned to harness network effects. Being an early user of this platform is great; it's surely going to be huge.
