this is the dilemma of market. even contracts don't work. moreover in such systems contracts are rather verbal than written. I faced similar problems in my previous business. I'm not saying it's the right approach but it worked for me. whenever company did such things with me, i usually launched a competitor product (a company trying to launch) trust me, you will always find them. i used my network and slowly made the earlier Products fade away. (can only happen if you have strong channel). secondly what i did was got a brand registered (under 10k). told new companies to manufacture under my name. ( only marketed by) not manufactured by. eliminating all competition. however, i just took it as one of the products and kept selling others.
