Story time ๐๐ So this goes back to when I was in 8th grade and a Byjuโs counsellor had come to my house to pitch their course. You know the typical scene โ parents sitting seriously on the sofa, the counsellor trying to sell dreams, and me, the confused kid sitting in the middle like itโs a job interview. At one point, he looked at me with a big smile and asked, โSo, what are your interests?โ I confidently replied, โMarketing.โ He lit up โ probably thinking, โWow, prodigy spotted.โ Then came the follow-up: โNice! And what do you understand by marketing?โ I didnโt flinch. I proudly said, โLike... going out in the market and doing shopping.โ The silence lasted a second. And then โ absolute chaos. The counsellor BURST out laughing, my parents looked like they wanted to return me to the manufacturer, and I sat there wondering what just happened ๐๐๐ At the time, I was mortified. But now? I laugh about it all the time. That moment actually opened my eyes to what marketing really is โ not just buying stuff, but making people want to buy. It was the day my definition evolved from mall trips to market strategies ๐ Who knew a shopping enthusiast would one day dive into the world of branding, psychology, and consumer behavior? ๐
