My marketing journey Here's a simple timeline on how I found my career in marketing - 2020, It was my 1st year of college. As it is lockdown and my family is a middle class, I started looking for ways to earn money online. - 2021- Started an online business with my co-founder, but there were no profits for 5 months, and we both quit that idea. - 2021 - I was desperate to earn money online to help my family. During that period, I tried crypto, proofreading, and data entry but not worked much. - 2022 - While exploring other skills, I saw digital marketing for the first time. I loved the idea that the skill requires some creative and logical thinking. So I gave it a shot. - 2023 - I decided my career should be at digital marketing but struggled to learn the basics of digital marketing due to constant procrastination. As a result, I did not get my job in my dream career. As my family forced me to get a job, I landed at an accountant job at a travel company. - 2023 to 2024 - I started putting extra efforts into learning digital marketing along side with job. After 9 months of learning, I got an intern role in digital marketing at an IT company. I quit my accounts job. Though the pay is 50% Low than I got as an accountant, I still decided to give it a shot 2024 - I learned a lot as an intern there, and I put extra effort in learning all aspects of marketing. After 4 months, I decided to start a marketing consultancy firm to help small businesses step into digital marketing. I was doing it in part time along side with my job 2024 to 2025 - Now working as a digital marketing analyst at a startup and managing my business. Resources that helped me to get into digital marketing Google skillshop ( Fundamental of digital marketing) Semrush academy Ahrefs academy Search engine journal Search engine land Senetor we run ads ( Youtube channel) That's how I got into my dream career.
