To everyone posting on Medial saying things like, “If you want to invest in a startup, DM me it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity” I’ll be honest with you: no one is going to message you just like that. If you’re serious about building something, you have to put in the effort yourself. And if someone does reach out after seeing such a post, there is a 99% chance they are looking to take advantage of you, not help you. Instead, take the time to prepare a proper pitch deck, reach out to people yourself, and start real conversations. No one is going to come build your business for you. It’s your idea, your vision so it’s your responsibility to make it happen.
