Just a few days into the real grind. I recently joined my father’s company – Ssar Impex Pvt. Ltd. – and while I’ve only been handed a small slice of the pie (just the transport department), it’s been nothing short of intense. Within the first 1-2 days, I found myself neck-deep in a whirlwind of tasks – vehicle movement, booking, tracking, coordinating over calls, emails, and WhatsApp – all at once. My mind was being stretched thin just trying to remember every instruction, every update, and every tiny process to make sure nothing falls through the cracks. It was chaotic. And it hit me: this isn’t even the hardest part of the business. There are people doing this job (and far more complex ones) with such precision and calm, it made me feel like I’ve got a long way to go. But the biggest realization in all of this? My father. The man has been in this game for over 25 years – starting off in a small company doing field work, working his way up to become a manager in a larger setup, then a CEO, and finally building his own company from scratch. His experience, vision, and control over the chaos is something else. I’ve seen him work, but I never really understood what it meant — until now. What seemed simple from the outside carries layers of effort, pressure, and responsibility. I used to take it lightly, maybe because I had no clue what really went on. But this short stint has already humbled me and made me respect the journey a whole lot more. And knowing him, his ambitions won’t stop here.
