Here's the harsh reality check: nobody cares about your perfectly coded "project" if you haven't validated that a single soul needs it. Building everything yourself without money isn't a badge of honor; it's a fast track to burnout and a product no one wants. Forget "prototype vs. full project." Your path isn't about code right now, it's about validation and sales. Can you build the absolute shittiest, simplest version that proves people will actually use it and pay for it? That might not even be code, it could be a landing page, a survey, or manually doing the service yourself. The better choice isn't building; it's selling your vision and solving a real problem so deeply that people practically throw money at you. Get that traction, and then, maybe, investors will look you as resourceful, not just broke. Stop coding in a bubble and go find a customer.
