India’s 1st Solar EV Charging Station with Second-Life Battery Debuts in Bengaluru BESCOM, in partnership with GIZ India and DULT, has launched India’s first solar-powered EV charging station near Bengaluru Airport, featuring a 100 kWh second-life battery energy storage system using repurposed EV batteries. The station is powered by a 45 kWp rooftop solar plant, includes 23 charging points (18 fast chargers), and offers real-time data & payments via the EV Mitra app and WhatsApp QR codes. This sustainable model supports circular energy use and reduces grid dependency. #EVIndia #SolarEVCharging
