Great question! Sarvam-M isn't meant to replace ChatGPT—it's a specialized model designed with a strong focus on Indic languages (like Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, etc.) and code generation. Its real strength lies in being optimized for the Indian context and multilingual NLP tasks. Plus, it's open-weight—meaning developers can fine-tune or deploy it freely, which opens doors for local innovation. As Indians, we shouldn't focus on competing with giants like Google or OpenAI. That’s a distraction. Instead, we should challenge our own imagination and solve our real problems—whether in language accessibility, education, agriculture, or healthcare. I've met incredibly intelligent people who get stuck trying to "beat" global tech giants. But the real win is building solutions for India, by India. That’s how we truly lead.
