no they don't take 2 percent home. when you work with really great real estate teams they give 2-5 percent to their agent. But the agency or firm they are working with takes 50 percent of it. And being a real estate agent is really hard , you don't sell 3 houses in a month when you're starting out. you'll earn as much a engineer earn in his first year of corporate world. it lies between 15-45k pm( I might be wrong but that's what I know after talking to many re agents). Also agents get stuck in a bond with their firm because initially the firm pays for all the licensing charges. So they literally fry their agents. its a toxic industry. But if you tackle all this , you will still cry but in a lambo that's the difference.
