Kotlin is absolutely the right choice in 2025. Google has been pushing it as the preferred language for Android for years now. Most of the documentation, libraries, and community support are Kotlin-first these days. Plus, the null safety features alone will save you countless hours of debugging compared to Java. Start with the official Android docs and Kotlin Koans, they're excellent resources for beginners.
