I'm also building a Robotics startup. Here's what I can suggest: pick one specific problem that you want to solve, and then you can design a solution around it. Design the mechanical components in a CAD software, use ROS2 to design the software architecture and simulate the robot. If it works in simulation, try to build it physically. If you have access to a 3D printer, through your college, you can print the parts. If not, you can order these 3D printed parts online. Buy the electronics and build a basic prototype. You can then use it as a proof of concept demonstration and try for grants, funding etc. to build the next iterations.
