Instant Cashback? More Like Instant Disappointment. I’ve had enough of companies throwing around the term “instant cashback” like it’s a guaranteed benefit — when in reality, it often feels like a trap. I recently used Mobikwik to make a payment after seeing an attractive cashback offer. Everything looked legit — the offer was right there, I applied the coupon, and completed the transaction. But the cashback? Never came. So I tried to raise a complaint. That’s when things got even worse. The app’s customer support section is a maze. It’s almost like they don’t want you to reach out. And even if you somehow manage to submit a ticket, there’s no proper response. On top of that, many of these cashback offers are vaguely worded or come with fine print that isn’t shown upfront. Most users, like me, go ahead thinking the coupon applies — only to be told later, “Sorry, this transaction wasn’t eligible.” Seriously? And here’s another problem — there’s no proof that the coupon was even applied once the transaction is done. The bill just says “Paid Online” — it doesn’t mention the app used or the offer applied. Any proof that you saw or applied a coupon is only visible before the payment. And let’s be honest — how many of us take screenshots every time? If companies can’t ensure clarity, transparency, and actual support, they shouldn’t be running these promotions at all. At the very least, don’t promise what you can’t deliver. We’re not just users — we’re customers. And we deserve better.
