Today in hashtag#BuildInPublic: Reimagining UI Speed with Svelte at far.cx If you’ve ever waited 3–5 seconds for Jira to load, you know the pain. Today, I set out to prove that speed isn’t just a “nice to have”-it’s the foundation of flow. So here’s what I shipped: A brand new UI for far.cx, built from the ground up with Svelte, obsessively focused on one metric-40ms load time. Not a typo. From click to render, it’s instant. No more context-switching, no more “grab a coffee while it loads.” Why does this matter? Every second you wait is a second you’re not building, thinking, or collaborating. Clean UI isn’t just about aesthetics-it’s about getting out of your way and letting you work. Speed is a feature. In 2025, it’s the feature that separates tools you love from tools you tolerate. How did we get there? Ruthless prioritization: Every pixel and line of code had to justify its existence. Svelte for the win: Lightweight, reactive, and built for performance. But here’s the thing: I’m building in public because feedback from this community is how we’ll make far.cx the fastest, most usable tool for modern teams. Would love your feedback: What’s the slowest part of your current workflow? What would you want to see in a lightning-fast project tool? Let’s raise the bar for what “fast” means in SaaS.

Great UI/UX isn’t just seen… it’s felt. It’s not just about looks. It’s about how it makes you feel when you use it. What was the last app you used that made you say, “Wow, this is smooth!”?
