it's a tough situation. new freelancers do not get high quality leads instantly, they need to build profile over time, a lot of gimmicks there too. if you are new, maybe postpone the decision of freelancing for an year, join a company that picks up projects from upwork, freelancer, Fiverr etc. meanwhile build your profile using gimmicks - you will come to know learn from bidders of the company you join in maybe in an year when you profile is strong, quit job and become full time freelancer
