India definitely needs a spam free freelancer or upwork alternative but at that same scale and with the increased play of ai. And providing users a safer platform to find gigs.

i have burned hands building Fiverr for india some years ago. DIY marketplace doesn't work in india..that's my learning. people have a 'Do it for me' mindset. that's why multiple agencies and shops exist.

Let me share my thoughts. Should India have one? Yes, that would solve tax issues and reduce outside dependency. New profile not getting clients? A universal problem. Even the platform needs to beta test them to see if they have the proper caliber to solve what they promise. People run agencies or social media? That is part of distribution; leverage their presence. If built for India, then it is a good idea.

Ultra wrong timing to do this. While AI agents take over the tasks why are you talking about freelancing. and just copy and serve doesn't do much and currency conversion just takes away about 5 to 10 percent max but the pay by foreigners is good. Indian companies don't offer much especially for Indian workers. I sincerely pity anyone who's trying to do this without any new insight or approach
