I hope I am not sued for this. Not alleging anything and can be 100% wrong. But I am scared that Bhavish & Ola Electric may building a Gensol <> Blusmart like shady ploy 🙏🙏 You see, I came down on this company called Turbo Fleet Aggregators, which basically had limited social media presence (only Holi, Diwali posts), and zero media coverage. Literally ZERO! Apparently, this company, registered in Delhi in May 2023 and operating out of Gurgaon is all about leasing electric two wheelers to delivery workers. And interestingly, all vehicles it leases are scooters from Ola Electric. .. On its website, Turbo has shared minimal details. It has a few photos, and claims to have 350+ riders who have covered 10+ lakh kilometres. Another place in the website mentions, that it has so far leased 500 EVs or so. Also, none of the social media icons on the website work. All redirect to the same homepage. But, what’s more interesting? Once you see the website, it actually looks all like an Ola company. - Ditto same colour theme as you see on Ola Electric, Ola Cabs and Ola Financial website and apps - Photos all over, that look to be promoting Ola’s scooters, and nothing else - And also, ditto same UX/UI (buttons, sliders, web design, font and icons) Thus, even though I know nothing on this for sure, seems shady, and appears like it’s an Ola affiliated company. Best for media to dig and find, given they have the resources. .. Meanwhile, I dialled the contact number on company’s website and spoke to the guy on the other end, faking to be a Blinkit delivery guy presently using a scooter from competitor (Zypp Electric). - He shared that the company only provides Ola S1 Air and Ola S1 X+, at a weekly rental of Rs 1,610 (whichever model you pick) - And that they don’t care what’s your end use. As long as rent is paid in time, do whatever with the scooter Plus, when I asked if no other scooter options are available, he explicitly mentioned that Turbo only deals in Ola scooters, because it has a partnership with them. When I asked him about the partnership, he said, he can share more when I decide to rent a scooter from them. .. I know, I am conjecturing. Maybe speculating. But the attempt is to connect the dots. And basis all I shared above, connecting the dots, things don’t inspire any bout of confidence. What do you think?
