we talk about startups, businesses, ai agents, saas, tech, web3. meanwhile, 27 lives were taken casually for being hindu. not on a border. not in a war. at a tourist spot. we're becoming the fastest-growing economy and the next superpower. but we still can't take care of the basics - safety, health, education. we’ve fundamentally altered humanity for good through internet. and yet, we just saw the deadliest terror attack on civilians in j&k since 2000. watched the kashmir files again yesterday. the brutal reality hits hard every single time. what outrages is that ordinary innocent civilians on vacation with their families, locals earning a livelihood are being brutally perished to show the world how powerful (read: coward) they are. we witnessed yet another black day. and i hope this becomes the last. rest in peace to the departed.

The true measure of a nation's advancement isn't GDP growth or unicorn startups, but how it protects its most vulnerable citizens and upholds human dignity regardless of religion or ethnicity. Economic development means little if citizens can't feel safe going about their daily lives. This tragedy exists in a complex historical context that many discussions ignore. Kashmir's history doesn't begin or end with The Kashmir Files, and reducing these events to a religious conflict rather than understanding the geopolitical complexity serves certain narratives while blocking solutions. Yes, innocent Hindus were killed - that's horrific and unacceptable. But painting this solely as religious terrorism ignores decades of complicated history where civilians of all backgrounds have suffered. True peace requires honest recognition of all injustices and rebuilding trust across communities rather than isolating specific incidents to fuel more division.
