Does anyone know about Al projects in India? I recently saw an old clip of Sam Altman (OpenAI CEO) saying India can't build a strong Al model, He literally said 'India is hopeless'. I used to follow him (@sama on Insta) but unfollowed after that. It sparked my interest in India's Al scene. The only Indian Al company I know is Rumik Al, founded by Yogesh Maheshwari & Rohan Chaudhary. They have 'Ira,' a chatbot styled as a female friend. At my company, KryoNexus, we built a small Al model, Kryo Al, out of curiosity. Altman's comment lit a fire to take it seriously. But challenges loom-funding is the first hurdle. Even if we anyhow build it, why would users pick Kryo Al? like ChatGPT users hardly moved to DeepSeek, or Grok? The Al race is tough, but I want India to compete. I want me to complete.
