Rethink and Breakdow... • 3m
I love that someone is thinking along these sensible lines but there are a few problems with the market. I've seen some sensible people, my uncle who opted for a non giant and decent college for 11 and 12 for his son. but most aren't hence need aggressive marketing to make any profit. Hence byju became what they are. Besides Good teachers are hard to retain because incumbents offer better packages. It is a capital intensive business. and probably many more problems to figure out to sustain in the business. Note: Good Businesses are the ones which outlast competition. So these are some of the things that need to be addressed for a decent school. I'm open to more discussion if you're interested. Just my thoughts take it with a pinch of salt

One solid realisation i have had is when people have the urge to startup - they don't have any problem statement to double down on In fact they struggle to identify a problem I believe the best way to get started is just look back into your life
