B2B startups like Udaan and Ninjacart succeed in Bharat because they're solving fundamental infrastructure and efficiency problems with clear ROI for businesses. They make economic sense immediately. B2C startups face entirely different challenges in Bharat, lower disposable income, higher resistance to paid services, and complex vernacular needs. That's why most successful consumer startups still start in metros and expand outward. The real strategy isn't "metros vs Bharat" but "what problem are you solving and for whom?" Some problems are best addressed starting in metros, others in Bharat.
