There are only a few founders left in the country who are working hard and investing in their products to come up with a solution. But if we continue to glorify these so called start-ups, sooner than later no one will be interested in investing themselves into innovation, when they'll see some soft drink company taking funding for their soft drink venture, more than the valuation of their Start-up, just because )some Angel investor is looking to 2x, 5x, 10x their profit or some show wants to increase their viewership. This is not innovation and this illusion is not going to build the nation in the long term. (3/3

On top of that. shows like Shark Tank, are completely filled with such companies. As we know, the main motto of these shows is to present the D2C brand, boost their numbers, while boosting their viewership, and increase the popularity of Sharks. All for the sake of profits. But the problem is that, this gives us the illusion of growth rather than actually and impactful growth. I think this was the meaning of this statement. And for all the existing founders criticizing this statement, they need to understand that they have built what they wanted, instead of crying over the Government they should support those start-ups that Nation needs (instead of investing only to get an exit) And if I go brutally honest, Most of the startups nowadays do not exist to solve any problem, rather maximizing their valuation and make money (which is not bad, but don't label your company and innovative company by changing the receipt of your icecream, that's not innovation or something ground breaking).
