I agree with Piyush Goyal on his statement in Start-up Mahakumbh. I understand that not all of his points were valid, Infact there are many places where we can blame authorities for NOT having innovation. But his point was; in the wave of Start-ups and Unicorn Companies we are mostly glorifying Good packaging and Appealing label companies, and calling it a worthy Start-up to compete on a Global level. If we look at the bigger picture, in India there are numerous service based Startups but the number of start-ups that are product based or have anything innovative can be counted on fingers. In fact the youth who want to give a chance to the Start-up ecosystem is mostly diverted towards making a food, clothing company rather than investing themselves in Research and Development and coming up with something innovative (there are always exceptions, not a generalized statement but what the trend shows us). On top of that, shows like Shark Tank, are totally filled with such Companies (1/2)
