📈Short story of wework WeWork started in 2010 when Adam Neumann and Miguel McKelvey saw a chance to rethink office space. After the 2008 recession, empty buildings were plentiful, and freelancers needed affordable places to work. They leased floors in Manhattan, split them into stylish shared offices, and rented desks to startups and creatives. No product, just real estate with a vibe—think free coffee, open layouts, and a “hustle” culture. Their pitch? Community and flexibility, not just desks. Neumann’s charisma sold it—investors like SoftBank poured billions in, hyping WeWork as a tech unicorn despite it being a landlord with extra steps. By 2019, it had 500+ locations and a $47 billion valuation. Growth exploded because low interest rates made risky bets easy, and everyone wanted in on the “future of work.” But with no real tech or scalable product, it was a house of cards—fancy leases masking losses.

The concept honestly sounds like a delusional continuation of WeWork and has a “cult” like feeling to it.
