Throwback to Aug 2023: I was in full-on Mark Zuckerberg mode. Thought I was building the next Facebook. I had this line on loop in my head: “A million dollars isn’t cool. You know what’s cool? A billion dollars.” Spoiler: That mindset is NOT cool. I burned 2 months, 12-14 hrs a day, no weekends… and built something no one even used. Brutal. Lessons burned into my brain: - Make money first. You don’t need to build another Facebook. - Validate before you build. - Build what people need, not just what you want. PS: Learned my lesson. Launching something actually useful in 2 weeks.
