Is solopreneurship real? There are many folks talking about building a personal brand, that pays them well enough. Their flow is usually like this: 1. Post valuable content in your niche. 2. Build a genuine audience. 3. Build a product (a course, mostly) 4. Market it to your audience. 5. A small set of audience will become your customers. Also, if this works, should building the audience (distribution) on a platform be the sole goal in the initial stage? Or, one should go all in to build a product then do marketing and sales? Share your views on this.

Unpopular opinion but I think we should NOT build our business like: 1. Idea 2. Product 3. Audience Instead we should pursue 1. Idea 2. Audience 3. Product Building a product is often quite easy compared to building an audience.

1- If anyone can spin up an MVP over a weekend, should we stop pretending product-building is a moat? 2. If the cost to build has crashed, should yesterday’s unicorns take a haircut today?
