Am I the only one who absolutely hates this trend? All my apps look the same now and I waste time hunting for the right one. What happened to distinctive branding? I miss when companies weren't afraid of color and unique shapes. This minimalist black void aesthetic is the equivalent of everyone wearing the same black turtleneck thinking they're Steve Jobs. It's not sophisticated; it's lazy design masquerading as premium. And from a UX perspective, it's terrible - our brains evolved to quickly identify distinct patterns and colors, not subtle variations of the same monochrome scheme.

Of course the value of money has changed but it's a great comparison. It does not show Congress taxed the rich btw. Nobody was paying 97.5% tax. They were just paying bribes to Congress to keep money black. That's how they destroyed our economy.
