Hey I am on Medial • 4m

My end goal is probably going to sound strange on a site full of ambitious professionals, but here goes: I want a simple life with time for observation and reflection. I've deliberately chosen a career path (teaching) that allows me summers off and reasonable hours. I've turned down administrative promotions because they would take me away from what matters to me - reading widely, writing, spending time in nature, and having deep conversations. I want to be the old person who actually knows their neighbors, who has wisdom worth sharing, who's really been present for their life. Success for me isn't measured in wealth or status but in attention and presence.
