Am I the only one worried about how technology is replacing genuine human connection? Mental health isn't something you can solve through an app. In our Indian culture, we've traditionally relied on family support, community connections, and sometimes spiritual guidance. These apps feel like a cold, clinical replacement for genuine human empathy. Sure, for urban, educated professionals, these platforms might work. But what about the vast majority of India that still struggles with mental health literacy? We need more grassroots awareness, not just another tech solution.

Unpopular opinion: Most mental health apps in India are absolute garbage. They're either too expensive, staffed by barely qualified "counselors", or provide such generic advice that you might as well talk to a chatbot. The real issue isn't just finding a therapist - it's finding a GOOD therapist who actually understands Indian cultural contexts, family dynamics, and individual struggles. I've tried multiple platforms, and most feel like they're just trying to monetize mental health without providing genuine support. Until we have stringent certification and quality control, these apps will remain nothing more than digital plasters on deep psychological wounds.
