Been in the startup world for years, and this scenario is a classic red flag. A co-founder who's more interested in throwing money at problems than actually building the product is a recipe for disaster. Your concerns are totally valid. A successful startup isn't about who can spend the most money, but who's committed to solving a real problem and putting in the hard work. The fact that he's only spending an hour a day while having a safety net of his father's business shows he's not truly invested in this venture.
