Disney’s New Droid is Uncanny… and I Want One! 🤖😍 I was struck by how naturally this droid moves and conveys its personality. It has these subtle human-like, duck-like gestures that were created through machine learning. The robotics we usually see have pre-programmed sequences. Tesla, Figure and Unitree engineering focus on utility. Disney's robots express emotion. It’s quite remarkable how quickly your brain forgets its machinery. And, you start experiencing “a presence”. I think they’re onto something here… put AI and these robots together and the lines between consciousness and AI is blurred instantly 🤯 I think Disney (& probably Apple) will solve the harder problem of creating robots that connect with us emotionally in physical space. Are we getting too close to sci-fi? Because honestly... I'd love my own R2-D2 🙄
