Getting my first business card as a student entrepreneur felt like hitting peak professionalism. I knew exactly what my startup did, and this time, the design was on point. Clean layout, crisp logo, and my title “Co-Founder” proudly sitting there like I was ready to close deals with Elon. But here’s the catch—I impulsively ordered 500 of them. Now, I’ve got enough business cards to last 5 lifetimes, and I’m out here handing them out like free samples at a mall. Networking events? Handshake + business card. Bumping into an old friend? Here, take one just in case. At this rate, I’m considering slipping them into people’s grocery bags. Moral of the story: A great design can’t save you from overestimating how many people actually want your card.
