INTERNET SCAMS Every day, countless people fall prey to online scams. You see something you want to buy, but trust issues come to the surface. How do you know the seller is legitimate and won’t take your money and run? 🤔 To tackle this issue, I came up with a proposal for an escrow-based system. 💡 If you're unfamiliar with how escrow works, let me explain! You might have heard the saying, "Ek hath se le aur dusre hath se de." This concept is easily applied in person when friends or siblings swap items. However, in the online world, it’s not so straightforward—one party usually has to go first, creating a risk of fraud. 😟 That’s where a third party comes in! Think of this third person as a trustworthy middleman who holds both the money and the product. They verify that both the product and payment are legitimate before making the exchange. A small fee is charged for this service, but it offers peace of mind to both buyers and sellers. 🙌 I have uploaded the same idea on the Medial startup showcase.
