Decoding Venture Cap...ย โ€ขย 1y

Ever wondered why some founders attract investors easily while others struggle? Itโ€™s because of something called Founder-Market Fit. If someone tells you theyโ€™ll become the next Virat Kohli but theyโ€™ve never played serious cricket before, would you believe them? Probably not. But if a Ranji Trophy player says, โ€œI want to play for India,โ€ you take them seriously because they already have the skills, experience, and track record. Startup Funding works same way. Founder-Market Fit means the founder is the right person to build that startup. Maybe theyโ€™ve worked in that particular industry for years, maybe theyโ€™ve faced that problem firsthand, or maybe they have some unfair advantage in that industry that makes them 10x more likely to succeed than anyone else. If you donโ€™t have a Founder-Market Fit yet, it doesnโ€™t mean you should give up. It just means you need to gain experience, build expertise. Because in startups, being right person matters just as much as having right idea.

Everyone talks about product-market fit. I believe in founder-pantry fit. If your own fridge still looks like a failed science experiment, you probably have a market. Mine did. Thatโ€™s how Sunday FEK was born.

People love to say build for your user. But most havenโ€™t even *talked* to one. You donโ€™t have product-market fit. You have product-founder delusion.
