You must read this! Why do brands limit features even when they’re vital? Sometimes, a feature you really need either arrives late or gets locked behind a paywall. But why? Brands like Microsoft, Instagram, and Google have top-tier designers, PMs, and decision-makers. So, is it a mistake? Not really. It’s all about timing and demand. Take LinkedIn, for example. As a designer, I save a lot of posts to revisit later. A feature to categorize saved posts would be a game-changer for me. But for someone who rarely saves posts, it would feel like an unnecessary addition. Now look at Instagram they introduced custom folders for saved posts because their users needed it. LinkedIn hasn’t. Why? Because the need isn’t strong enough yet. Features don’t just roll out because they’re "useful." They roll out when the demand is undeniable.
