You must read this! Why do brands limit features even when theyโre vital? Sometimes, a feature you really need either arrives late or gets locked behind a paywall. But why? Brands like Microsoft, Instagram, and Google have top-tier designers, PMs, and decision-makers. So, is it a mistake? Not really. Itโs all about timing and demand. Take LinkedIn, for example. As a designer, I save a lot of posts to revisit later. A feature to categorize saved posts would be a game-changer for me. But for someone who rarely saves posts, it would feel like an unnecessary addition. Now look at Instagram they introduced custom folders for saved posts because their users needed it. LinkedIn hasnโt. Why? Because the need isnโt strong enough yet. Features donโt just roll out because theyโre "useful." They roll out when the demand is undeniable.
