Doesn't matter if its profitable or not, profitability is dependent on your expenses and all also but think if its gonna be useful and will create value or not. If it does then of course it will make money
Should devs really care about the revenue, lot of ideas if implemented could be useful for many but it wouldn't be really profitable. Basically good will projects.
