Honestly, no offense but that really sounds like a final year college project, there is a lot of competition and you cannot simply stand out between the competition, there are lots and lots of companies doing that Secondly the companies avoid hiring an fresher as they think he/she is an liability which might delay in production - so they try to hire someone with experience in working he was probably right about the money part because whatever amount you think you need, you need 10x that amount to actually start a startup considering running ads, hosting and hiring people is expensive, and with improper execution you can waste a lot of money
