I'm not sure about openAi in the long term tbh, sure they're the star boys of the entire space but I think eventually a gaint like Google, meta (in the near future)or somebody from china will take over (in the not so distant future). don't get me wrong, I love open AI but since distribution is a thing I don't think they can compete with Google's or meta's reach and once the whole WhatsApp model of meta becomes more prominent the average user would probably stick to that and the professional users would probably incline towards google. all of these are just possibilities in a situation where microsoft wouldn't get involved more operationally and they transition into a money printing machine

I very well agree with you. Distribution is very important MOAT which giants like Google, Meta and Apple have.. But choosing an ai also depends upon it's features as well like the quality of answer, this that. Google (integration of ai in search) and Meta (ai in WhatsApp) will surely be a tough competition but won't easily takeover ChatGPT. So let's see how it goes
