Fluid Compute is a hybrid approach that combines the benefits of traditional servers and serverless computing. It allows a single function instance to handle multiple requests simultaneously, optimizing resource usage and reducing delays. A single function here can take multiple request ,by handling multiple requests within a single instance, it reduces idle time and makes better use of available resources. The likelihood of cold starts is minimized since existing instances can handle new requests without spinning up new ones. Automatically adjusts to handle varying traffic loads efficiently. Allows tasks to continue running in the background after responding to a user, which is useful for operations like logging or analytics. In summary, Vercel's Fluid Compute offers a balanced approach by combining the automatic scaling and low maintenance of serverless computing with the optimized resource utilization of traditional servers.
