In 2014, he launched a Facebook group, SQUATS, which quickly gained traction, reaching over 5,000 members within a year. Seeing the demand for structured fitness guidance, he and a few fitness enthusiasts began offering paid consultations at an affordable price. In 2016, he formalized the venture into SQUATS Pvt Ltd, which later evolved into FITTR, an AI-driven fitness and nutrition platform. FITTR officially launched in 2018, leveraging technology and data analytics to provide customized fitness plans. By 2020, FITTR had impacted over 200,000 people and built a strong 400+ certified coach network.. The platform operates on a freemium model, where basic guidance is free, and personalized coaching services generate revenue. FITTR saw rapid growth in user base, crossing 3 million users by 2022, making it one of Indiaโs largest online fitness communities. The company raised $11.5 million in Series A funding in 2021, led by Dream Capital, to fuel expansion. It expanded globally, reaching markets like the U.S., UAE, and the UK, tapping into international fitness demand. The revenue model includes subscription-based coaching, premium memberships, and certified fitness courses. FITTR became a profitable venture by maintaining a highly engaged community and focusing on science-backed fitness education. JC, an accidental entrepreneur, transformed a simple social media group into a multimillion-dollar fitness tech company. Follow me vishakha Jangir for more such entrepreneurial stories. :)
