Hey Niket Raj Dwivedi this eventually looks a bit towards marketing. Well it's good that you are trying to keep the users engaged. And it's fair to have such strategies just wanna suggest few things , 1. try not to select 25 ideas based on upvotes. If the idea is really good then it must be selected. 2. Also consider the comments and the answer to the comments of ideas while giving prizes because people asking questions and the person answering clears the idea more thoroughly. 3. If possible try to give suggestions to ideas that are worth . Maybe this could create a new startup , you few suggestions would boost his/her thought of this startup(You or your team or even VC if possible could give suggestions to ideas). I think this will really help new people to boost their thinking about startups. Medial would probably be hub for startups in future. Just suggesting. Also thanks for such an amazing platform ๐

Genius move by Medial๐ฐ๐คโhereโs why: They cut the top 3 prizes in half, saving 30k. They spent 22k on other qualifying ideas. In total, they saved 8k. what will happen: Winning the 1k prize is very easyโjust get upvotes, no matter how good the idea is. This leads to people spamming for upvotes. With low effort needed, many can win, but only premium users can participate fully, so Medial earns more money Benefits for Medial: 1. They make more money. 2. There is more participation and engagement, which brings extra money and free marketing on other platforms. Downsides: People might spam the messages of non-premium users to get upvotes. The focus shifts from building great products and startups to just winning the contest. This causes a poor user experience and unnecessary chaos. What Could Have Been Done Better: Keep the top 3 prize money the same. Instead, choose 7 more ideas for a top 10 list and give each a 1k prize, chosen by VCs ,these ideas would be from the rest of the top 22. In the end, Medial makes money and more users win, so theyโre happy , but the downside count Niket Raj Dwivedi ik you guys are trying some experiments , tbh it's a bad one
